Bricksworth Privacy Policy

The short version

Bricksworth is a construction finance tracker for people building their own home. It needs an account so your project can sync and survive a lost phone. We store your email and what you record about your build — nothing else. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Account: your email address, a password (stored only as a salted hash — we cannot read it), and an optional display name.
What you record about your build: projects, expenses, budgets, vendors and contractor ledgers, recurring expenses, build progress and phases, labour attendance, material stock, bill-of-quantity lines, and any notes you attach. This is stored so it syncs between your devices and is not lost with your phone.
Site photos: photos you attach to a project or a progress entry are uploaded to our server and stored with that project. Bricksworth opens the camera or gallery only when you tap to add a photo, and only the photo you pick is uploaded.
On your device: an offline copy of your project data (so the app works without a signal), your settings (language, theme, default currency and category pack), and your sign-in token in the device keystore/keychain.
Diagnostics: our server keeps ordinary web logs (IP address, request time, error traces) for security and debugging, kept short-term.

What we do NOT do

No advertising, and no advertising identifier is read.
No analytics or behaviour-tracking SDKs.
No location, contacts, call logs, SMS, or file-system scanning.
No selling or renting of your data, ever.
No push notifications from us — reminders are scheduled and fired locally on your device, so no push token leaves it.

Exports and sharing

PDF, CSV and WhatsApp summaries are generated on your device and go only where you send them. We do not receive a copy.

Services we rely on

Railway — hosts the Bricksworth API, database and photo storage.
Google Fonts — the app downloads typefaces from Google and caches them on your device: the interface faces (Archivo, Inter) on first run, and, when you export a PDF in a language that needs a non-Latin script, the matching Noto font for it. Only the font file is requested — nothing about you, your account or your records goes with it, and if the font cannot be fetched the export still works in Latin script.

That is the whole list — no other third party receives your data.

Data retention & deleting your account

Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account permanently removes it and everything in it — projects, expenses, vendors, ledgers, photos:

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account (confirm with your password).
By email: write to support@dayroz.com from your account email and we will delete it within 7 days.

Export your records first if you want to keep them — deletion cannot be undone.

Children

Bricksworth is a tool for managing construction budgets and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
