A branded representation, not a screenshot — client app screens are theirs to publish, not ours.

01 The context

The Makarem Alakhlaq Association works on silat al-rahm — keeping kinship ties. The families it serves are extended ones, spread across households and cities.

02 The challenge

Build a social product whose whole shape is the family: organised around family groups rather than followers, and Arabic-first rather than Arabic-translated.

03 What Dayroz did

Lead mobile developer on Android and iOS: family groups and their management, shared photo messaging, event coordination, task assignment, and the proximity notifications that turn a passing visit into a meeting.

04 Approach

  • Arabic-first, with right-to-left layout treated as the primary design rather than a mirrored afterthought
  • Multiple family groups per person, because extended families overlap
  • Location notifications framed as an opportunity — a relative is nearby — not as tracking
  • Events and tasks built for coordination between households, not individuals

05 The product

A family-focused social network built around the Islamic value of silat al-rahm (keeping kinship ties): communication, shared moments and coordination for extended families.

Live on both stores for the Makarem Alakhlaq Association, with support for multiple family groups.

06 What it does

  • Family communication & shared photo messaging
  • Family event organisation & scheduling
  • Location-based notifications when relatives are nearby
  • Task assignment within family groups
  • Multiple family groups with full management
  • Arabic-first experience

07 Under the hood

  • Flutter on both stores, with full RTL layout support
  • Location services driving proximity notifications between family members
  • Group media messaging and shared albums
  • Multi-group membership and per-group administration

08 Design system

Arabic-first throughout, with right-to-left composition treated as the primary layout rather than a mirrored afterthought.
